What To Do When You Can’t Use Your Paytali app

Written by Paytali Support

Trying to sign in to your Paytali app but you can’t? Transfers not going through? Or maybe your account balance isn’t showing at all?

It might be because there’s some kind of downtime and it might not. Here’s what to do whenever your Paytali app isn’t behaving like it normally does:

1. Check the Status Page.

All updates about our app services show up on status.paytali.com, which means you’ll never be in the dark when something isn’t working right. Look out for these colour codes on the page: Green - everything is okay, yellow - a service isn’t working properly, and red - a service isn’t working at all.

2. Restart, reconnect, or switch.

Restart your Paytali app by closing it and reopening it, reconnect to the internet, or switch to any other internet connection you have access to.'

3. Try the Paytali web app.

Oftentimes, the Paytali web app works when the mobile app is unavailable. Try it at app.paytali.com.

4. Talk to us.

If you can sign in to your Paytali app, whether it’s the mobile or web versions, chat with us about the issue you’re having. If you can’t, send an email to help@paytali.com or call 0700022555832.

5. Try your Paytali Card.

App services might be down but your Paytali Card probably works fine. Use it to pay on POS terminals, online, or for cash withdrawals at ATMs.

Our answers to questions you might have:
Is my money safe?
  • Yes, it always is. App downtime never affects the safety of your money. When you sign back in, it’ll be right where you left it.
When will the downtime be fixed?
  • We start fixing a downtime as soon as it happens, and we provide real-time updates on status.paytali.com as we make progress.
I have an urgent transaction. What should I do?
  • You have a few options: Try the Paytali web app at app.paytali.com or use your Paytali Card to make a POS payment, an online payment, or a cash withdrawal at an ATM.
Should I delete and reinstall the app?
  • No, there’s probably no need for that. Just close the app and reopen it, reconnect to the internet, or switch to any other internet connection you have access to. If you ever need to reinstall the app, we’ll let you know.
Someone on social media is offering to help me fix my account. What should I do?
  • Please, don’t reply! Never talk to strangers about any account issues and don’t share your passcode, transaction PIN, card PIN, CVV, password, Pay ID, or any other personal details with anyone online who claims to be from Paytali.

We will never ask you for these details on social media. If you need help, chat with us on your Paytali app, send an email to help@paytali.com, or call 0700022555832.
