Paytali Card FAQs
- Open the Paytali app and tap Cards.
- Tap Get a Card and Request A Card
- Select Get a Physical Verve Card and accept terms.
- Create your card PIN, then tap Next.
- Choose your delivery option
We'll charge you 1,000 naira to get a physical Paytali Card.
When you activate your new Paytali Card, we'll automatically turn off your old card.
Until your new card is activated, you’ll be able to keep using your old Paytali Card.
A virtual Paytali Card is a non-physical version of the Paytali Card.
Your virtual card is for making naira payments everywhere naira cards are accepted online. This card isn't plastic, so you can only use it online.
1. Open Paytali and tap Cards.
2. Tap Get a Card and Request A Card.
3. Select Get a Virtual Verve Card and accept terms.
4. Create your card PIN, then tap Next.
5. Confirm with your face ID/ biometrics or transaction PIN.
1. Open Paytali and tap Cards on your dashboard.
2. Tap Activate Card.
3. Read the activation instructions and tap Activate Card.
4. Type in your card number (on the back of your card) then tap Next.
After activating your card, follow the steps below to set your card spending limits:
1. Open Paytali.
2. Tap Cards.
3. Tap Manage Card.
4. Tap Manage Channels.
4. Tap a transaction channel - POS, ATM, Online or Contactless Payments then slide the toggle to set a daily spending limit for the channel and tap Save.
You can change your card PIN in the Card section of your Paytali app.
If you use the wrong card PIN up to three times at an ATM, you can still change your PIN on the app. Just make sure that your first card transaction after changing your card PIN is at an ATM.
No, we won't charge you a card maintenance fee.
Yes, you can withdraw cash at ATMs across Nigeria free of charge up to three times a month. Once you've used your three free withdrawals for a month, ATM providers will charge you the standard 35 naira withdrawal fee for any withdrawal you make for the rest of that month.
Yes, we'll charge you 1,000 naira for a replacement card.
- The daily limit on ATMs - ₦100,000
- The daily limit on POS terminals - ₦2 million.
- The daily limit online - ₦1 million.
- The daily limit on Contactless payments - ₦50,000
The daily spending limit for the virtual Paytali Card is ₦1 million.
Yes, you will be notified 60 days before your card expiration via email and in-app.
The current one remains active, however, once the new card is activated, the old card is automatically cancelled.
We'll charge you 1,000 Naira to renew your physical/virtual card.
Yes, you'll be charged a delivery fee based on your delivery location.
The Paytali Verve card PAN is 19 digits.
- The CVV is 3 digits and is printed at the back of the card.
- NOTE: Never share your card PAN, CVV, or card PIN with anyone.
Yes — you can use your Paytali Verve card on Netflix, Spotify, and Prime Video, and on any website that accepts local Naira (NGN) card payments.
