Use the merchant collateral top-up flow
Open the top-up dialog, verify the funding route and check the resulting desk balance.
This is the merchant desk’s security-collateral payment flow. Before using it, obtain confirmation of the applicable requirement and funding route if the amounts or currencies shown are inconsistent. Do not use this flow as a buyer order payment.
Open and review a top-up
- Open the merchant desk and choose Top-Up Collateral.
- Review Top-Up Security Collateral, the displayed currency, amount and available payment-provider options. Treat preset amounts as form choices, not an approved policy table.
- Enter the intended amount. Check the payment details and any provider charge before proceeding.
- Continue to the provider only after confirming the amount and currency. Complete payment only through the opened provider flow.
- Return to the merchant deposit callback page and then the desk. Check the verified payment result and ledger entry rather than relying only on a provider redirect.
If checkout or confirmation fails
Retain the reference and check whether the payment provider actually debited you. Do not repeatedly initialize or repeat payment to clear a pending result. Contact support with the reference, currency, amount and error.
When to stop
If the currency changes unexpectedly, account details are missing, the route appears to fund a different balance or conflicting requirements remain, stop before authorizing payment. A top-up is not a guarantee that a paused or administratively restricted merchant will resume.
If the issue continues, contact PayTali support with the relevant order or payment reference and the error message. Never include your password, verification codes, full BVN or full NIN.
