Create a merchant exchange offer

Publish an ad with a rate, amount range, payment window and settlement terms.

You need an approved, active merchant desk and sufficient eligible capacity. Your assigned corridor, ad limits and probation restrictions can prevent publication. Do not use a sample payment destination from the form.

Create an offer

  1. Open the merchant desk and find Marketplace Ads Portfolio.
  2. Choose Post New Ad or Create Your First Ad.
  3. Choose the direction and enter the exchange rate, minimum and maximum trade amounts, payment window, payment method, account details and terms.
  4. Replace all sample/default settlement details with accurate instructions for your desk. Check the spend currency used by the selected direction.
  5. Submit the form and check that the offer appears in your portfolio with the intended rate, terms and status. Inspect the live P2P market before assuming buyers can see it.

Validation and capacity

The rate and minimum must be positive; the maximum must exceed the minimum. The backend also checks corridor eligibility, merchant status, available capacity and active-ad restrictions. A successful preview or capacity label is not a reservation.

Current corridor limitation

The web portfolio does not consistently pass the merchant’s assigned corridor into the new-ad dialog. If the form’s corridor or spend currency does not match your desk, stop and contact support; do not submit an offer in the wrong corridor.

If the issue continues, contact PayTali support with the relevant order or payment reference and the error message. Never include your password, verification codes, full BVN or full NIN.
